Need help with misfire.... I知 lost
New guy here.....
2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 114k have a misfire or unstable idle, hit the gas revs right up no problem....
list of new parts
plugs, wires, cap and rotor, pcv valve, checked vacuum lines, ran SeaFoam through intake system, just did the hughs plenum plate all new gaskets and followed all torque specs as they gave.
im completely lost at this point..... truck is new to me so these are the only new parts I know of because I did them myself any help at all would be so much appreciated

Ok my statement wasn稚 real clear I don稚 see how it could be a misfire really with everything I e done to it.... I have cleaned intak and tb and all sensors on it while doing the intake gasket and new plate, I let it just run and idle for about 40 minutes this morning flushing the nasty coolant out of the system and it threw a money light code was p0132 02 sensor bank 1 high voltage...... would that possibly be the cause of my idle issue

That code would just make the PCM stay in open loop. It would ignore the O2 sensor. Too many things can give you a miss...... I would suggest a compression test, or, better yet, a cylinder leakdown test. That will give you a MUCH better idea of what shape things are in, and where the problem is.

Our trucks prefer copper spark plugs, did you use platinum? Some after market PCV valves flow too much air, making it a vacuum leak, use a Mopar PCV valve. Try a new NTK O2 sensor. Your IAC valve might need replacing. Dump a couple cans of Sea Foam in your gas tank and see if it clears up as you run that tank of gas out.

I don't believe the computer knows if an injector is leaking. Not sure about IAC, I don't think it always sets a code, but I don't remember for sure. The temp sensor affects how much fuel the engine gets, does it seem like your gauge is correct?
