Again my 96 B2500 van, ac blows cold up until it is in the mid 80's then it feels like the heat is on. So like most of us I thought that it needed a charge. I bought a large can with a gauge. As soon as I hooked it up the gauge read OVERFULL and that's before I added any. NO i did NOT ad any!!!! I stopped right there and took it to a local shop. He put a full set of gauges on it, turned on the ac and let it run a half hour. He said the gauges read that it was fine!! Low pressure side never fell below 70 and high side never went above 300. He did NOT charge me anything!!!! But it is still NOT RIGHT!!! What do I do now??

I had a car do that to me once. It was a partially clogged condenser. You don't state if you have done any repairs or if the system was opened or anything. Could also be orifice tube, drier, etc.

No I have not done any work on it. Only had it a few months and it worked fine until the humidity went up.

Check the condenser. Make sure all the fins are clear.

Is it making lots of condensate (water) when its running? There should be a pretty good flow coming out of the blower motor area.

You didn't mention if you did this with the engine running and the AC on Max. With the AC off the low side could read up to 100 PSI.

Plenty of water under the van when it is running with the ac on. Yes ac was on max at the time of the test. I looked at the condenser and it looked more oily and damp then dirty.
