Unfortunately it's not published. Heatertreater sends the instructions in their kit. The dots on the gears need to be in a certain place. Even with the instructions I didn't get mine perfect. I don't know where my instructions are though as I did mine in 2013. Maybe it's in the service manual?

Hey, not sure if you still need this info, but if so, send me a message...I just installed the Heater Treater repair kit yesterday and I can send you a scan of the indexing instructions that came with the kit. I also filmed the whole process and can send you a link if you'd like.

Overall, the Heater Treater repair is not a difficult process, but accessing the rear mounting screw is a gigantic pain in the butt. The indexing is actually very easy to do.

It helps if you cut away a little bit of the carpet there.

Default Yep, you are absolutely correct!

I peeled the carpet back and I was hoping to not have to cut the padding out of the way, but it is basically impossible to access the rear screw without doing so. I'm stubborn, so I had to learn that the hard way. 😂
