Hey all -
I finally replaced the climate control module on my 2000 Sport. Previously there was no sound of activating the different functions - it just blew up through the defrost. No draw on the engine when going to defrost or AC. After putting in the new module, I can definitely hear the switching from one function to the next but am still just getting warm air from the defrost. Will this eventually take care of itself as vacuum builds up or do I need to check something else? The replacement module from eBay was only $45 and actually came with the harness of vacuum tubes. I did not replace that, opting to unplug the existing and replugging to the replacement. I haven't had a chance to trace the vacuum line to see where the harness ends up but it can't be far - the lines aren't that long.

Sounds like there is still a broken vacuum line. When there is no vacuum, it defaults to defrost. Apply vacuum and the box will start following what you set the controller to.

 

 

 

C'mon, SOMEBODY has to know where the other end of the vacuum harness goes to.
Do I really need to disassemble the dash to replace the vacuum hose harness for the climate control?

 

Okay, found where it plugs into.
Still all defrost. I'll check the T on the firewall.

It was the T. Pulled apart. All is good!
