I have a 2004 ram 2500 5.7l hemi. I’m looking at programming it, because it is not running properly. I believe it had a program installed when I bought it that I didn’t know about and I tried to install my super hip obi tuner and it gave me an error, program already installed and couldn’t delete it or overwrite it. Ever since it has idled a little rough, replaced plugs and wires. And now it runs really fuel rich and blows a lot of black debris from the exhaust every initial start up

Take it to the dealer and have it flashed back to stock. Make sure it runs good on the stock tune before doing anything else.

What is the chance that the truck won’t run if I have the dealer flash it back to stock? I believe things have been dummies and changed for the previous program

It should still run, may just set some interesting codes.
