Default Newer door panels on older truck possible?

My truck has power windows, locks and mirrors. Its a 95 and supposedly any door panel from 94-97 is a bolt on replacement.

since the older panels are very hard to come by in good shape these days, im wondering if it's possible and what it would take to get a similar panel from a 98 and newer truck to work...

thanks dudes.

Seems to me that the panels on my '95 look just like the ones on my '99, other than the cloth. Guess I'd have to look closely to see if there's really any difference.

They sure look similar. I would note the ebay sellers seem to distinguish the regular cab and quad cab panels for the newer trucks...maybe different sizes?

You can use the regular cab for panels I think. I know for a fact the quad cab panels are shorter

Anybody know if all years of 2nd gen quad cab panels are shorter or is it just the 98 and newer quad cab panels that are shorter?

98 and newer is the only quad cab. Now if you are talking about the 97 and down club cab they are the same length

If it has the rear doors, the panels will be different, if it doesn't, they are the same from 95 to 01, (or 02 on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks.)

FYI here is why the confusion. Panels listed on eBay either range from 94-97, or 98-01 like this link. As I said above theysure look similar, and now HeyYou is saying 95-01. Just saying it can get confusing. It would be painful to drop 300 and not have it work.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/98-01-Dodge...Condition=3000
