Default 5 inch lift questions

Hello! I recently purchased an '01 Ram 1500 4wd for my 19th birthday. I am looking into the Rough Country 5 inch lift kit to pair with 35s. I love the way this setup looks. My truck has the 5.2L engine and I'm just wondering if I would be able to use 35s with the 5.2. I don't, and almost certainly won't, be towing anything. I mainly use the truck for hauling and as DD. I was also wondering what options I have instead of adding a block rough country gives me in the rear. I've seen somewhere that i can use an AAL part. What exactly would I need?

Thanks for all your help!!

Best thing to do and obtain a decent ride is a shackle flip. The truck will be a dog with 35s so don't expect to pass anyone or any gas station

Naturally when going to bigger tires you should also change the gearing (ring and pinion).

i run 295/75/16 on mine and it is terrible, pretty have to drive with overdrive off anything under 50 mph. up hills is a struggle. that tire size is just about a 33 inch tire. i couldnt imagine running 35 inch tires on stock gearing. hope this helps

Put 4.56 gears in the axles and it will be fine.

Thank you, I love the stance of your truck! Is it stock wheel offset/backspacing? And I've opted to go with the upgraded gearing. Thanks for your help!
