Default Turn signals not working on one side? Possible fix.

Thought i would share this tip that might help some with a similar situation,

The other day my front drivers side turn signals stopped working.

The signal indicator was working only blinking fast, a good indicator that a bulb was bad.

So i pulled the old bulb out and put new ones in and guess what? Nothing, still no light

So i wiggled the harness and still no effect. So i figured the harness was probably bad and spent a good 30 minutes online trying to find a replacement pigtail and socket.

But before i dove down into that rabbit hole i decided to look at the problem again.

Removing the bulb holders and looking at them ( a bit tricky to do without breaking that aged plastic) , they looked fine.

However as a last ditch effort i thought i would try cleaning all the contacts.

So i grabbed one of those small emery boards (nail files) and cleaned the bulb socket contacts and the contact where it plugs into the harness.

I also got a thin peace of metal or xacto knife and worked it in and out of the female contacts on the harness side..( this can be done with or without funky jazz music)

Plugged the bulbs back in and WALA! everything working good.

Apparently there was just enough corrosion to prevent them from working.

Hope this helps anyone who may encounter a similar situation.
