looking for built 318 or bigger for my 74 LWB truck

hey all, Im new here to the forums. I thought it might be a good idea to find a forum where i might come up with things I need for my truck since it seems dodge is out numbered here in Oklahoma by chevy and fords.

I just tossed a rod bearing in my motor, and I dont want to take the time to build a motor for my slammed pickup. I own a 1974 Dodge Half ton 2 wheel drive Long Wide Bed. its been lowered and a few other things. Im looking for a mild to somewhat wild 318 (or 340/360 if they will mount to the tranny i have now). I would prefer it to be from some one here in Oklahoma as it wold be easier to come pick it up. but I would be willing to drive a few hundred miles for the right motor.

I dont have all the money in the world. but I can afford a couple of grand for a good, stout used motor that I can use to run down the track, yet be able to cruise town with.

as it stands now I have an automatic tranny with a stiff shift kit and a locked converter, with 3.73 gears ( Im assuming thats the rearend gears. I run 75 MPH @ 3000 RPM's). Im would really like some umph. not just a stocker with a cam in it. Im looking for something around 400+ HP if at all possible.

you can either contact me here, email me @ rollinlow25@hotmail.com or call me 918-271-1610 if you have a what Im looking for. I have the cash lets talk.

Thanks.

Ryan
