OEM height?

Want to put 1999 Ram 1500 quad cab back to OEM ride. When I bought it recently it had 33x12.50x15 mud tires. I want to go back to OEM 16" rimswith maybe 265/70s. First time I have had a 4WD like this. It may have been lifted by previous, previous owner. I don't see any obvious lift blocks or extensions, but I haven't lifted anything since the 80'sand I am probably out of touch with what to look for. Distance from ground to bottom of fender at wheel well is 39 inches. Does anyone know what the stock measurement should be?Seems like there may be too much height in there if I go back to regular tires but maybe not?? Just want to make sure I don't get top-heavy. Also, I am trying to decide whether to keep the 15 inch American Racing wheels and replace those tires- the ones on there now are nearly new- or get some more rims and havea play set or maybe sell those.

RE: OEM height?

The stock tires for a 2wd are 225/70/R16.

I have a set of the stock chrome 16s with some 285/75/R16s that I'm lookin to sell sometime soon if you're interested and happen to be somewhere in Texas.
