Default Maximum tire size

I have a 2005 Dodge Magnum RT, I am planning on purchasing 22" rims and tires for my wagon. I have the self levelling shocks, so this has caused me to think of other options other than just lowering my ride. I figure I will drop the front end, but I dont think it will make the vehicle look quite right, so I was thinking maybe I would do almost the opposite and sort of go with an old school muscle car look, and have larger tires in the rear. This will fill the rear wheel well a little better and in my head at least make it look finished. From what I have read, with 22s I would have to go with a 35 series wheel to keep the same size ratio, but as I am also getting a diablo predator this is not a serious issue. But if I was to go with a 35 is it feasible to do a 45/50/55 series? Any info or opinions would be appreciated!
