Even Quicker

The Dodge Demon, as you already know, is quite the formidable machine. As turnkey a drag racer as turnkey drag racers come. But no matter how quick a car is from the factory, that won't stop people like the maniacs at SpeedKore Performance from making them, well, quicker.

Going on a Diet

This insane Demon originally debuted at last year's SEMA show wearing twin 6875 Precision Billet ball-bearing T4 turbochargers and enough carbon fiber bodywork to trim a claimed 400 pounds off the hefty Demon's stock weight.

Lighter, Faster

At the time, SpeedKore said that their special Demon pumped out 1,400 hp at the crank, and a little over 1,200 at the wheels. They also claimed that it would blaze the quarter-mile in just 8.77 seconds at 162 mph, or nearly a full second quicker than the stock Demon.

Only the Best

SpeedKore took no chances wringing out the best time from their hyper-modified Dodge, planting NHRA driver Leah Pritchett behind the wheel.

Crazy Power

Since the car's debut, SpeedKore has only gotten more serious in its tinkering. Today, the Demon uses a pair of 7675 Precision turbos to make crazy power. Pretty much all of the rest of the drivetrain is stock, however.

Bulletproofing

The crew has added a beefier torque converter, carbon fiber driveshaft, and a rear diff brace to keep things from blowing up, however.

Hard Miles

A C02 boost controller allows the team to fine tune power, while an aftermarket two-step replaces the factory setup since the car only has around 200 hard miles on it.

Stay Safe

And since this Demon rips off sub-9-second passes, it has to have a certain amount of safety gear to remain NHRA legal. So it's got a 10-point roll cage welded in.

Corn Fed

With a full fuel system including a set of ID 1300 injectors, the Demon is corn fed, drinking prodigious amounts of E85 at wide open throttle.

Crank It Up

It takes a certain amount of gusto to take a car as crazy as the Demon and crank it up to 11, but that's what the folks at SpeedKore do on a regular basis. And honestly, we like a little bit of crazy in our rides!
