1. Secret diagnostic and gadget menu options

This trick we first found hiding on a 2010 Dodge Challenger. Holding down the selection buttons on the car's steering wheel for a few seconds will unlock some neat features that would have been either too advanced or superfluous for casual owners. Oil pressure and temperature can be gauged with this trick, although muscle car fanatics may be most enthused by the included "0 to 60" engine timer.

2. Quick turn signals

If you give a light tap on your turn signal switch, it will offer a brief, three-flash sign to others that you're shifting lanes. This is helpful for those effortless highway lane changes, where turn signalling is more of a formality than a legitimate help. With that said, three quick flashes isn't really enough to be helpful for practically anything else.

3. Controlling power windows remotely

Although this is a surprisingly common Easter egg for modern cars with remote fobs, it has been tested and verified on several Dodge models. Pressing the unlock button once, then pressing it again and holding it down for a few seconds will cause the car's power windows to roll down automatically. This little-known trick is a perfect thing if you're grossed out about your car being musty when you first get into it.

4. The sun visor can be adjusted to shield the side window

Going down a highway in the Summertime, there's nothing more annoying than to have the sun's glare strafing your side. Luckily, the sun visors designed for Ram trucks are adjustable to extend and cover the driver or passenger's side from direct sunlight.

5. Stereo mode steering wheel changer

There's a button located on the back of the steering wheel towards the middle that switches the car's radio from radio to CD, as well as MP3-friendly AUX format. Including a subtle feature like this helps to minimize the amount of time a driver's eyes will be off the road when changing an audio mode. This trick was verified on a recent incarnation of the 1500 Ram truck.

6. Racetrack-shaped rubber mats in the Dodge Viper

The Viper is associated by and large with its slick racing potential. To commemorate the Viper's legacy within itself,  the interior rubber foot mats include an outlined shape of both the Nürburgring and Laguna Seca raceways.

7. Deactivating the seat belt alarm chime

Most modern cars come with an alarm bleeper that occurs whenever the driver seat's seatbelt isn't buckled. To turn off this pesky noise, buckle in the seatbelt and turn on the car's ignition. From there, wait until the seatbelt icon has disappeared from the dashboard display. Then unbuckle and buckle the seatbelt three times fast. Leave it in on the third time and turn the key ignition off; you should hear a chime to indicate the feature has been disabled. It goes without saying that this Easter egg shouldn't be taken as a viable replacement for using the seatbelt. Safety's ultimately a lot more important than the discomfort of a seatbelt wrapped around you, but knowing a trick like this exists is still fascinating in its own right.

8. Classic Dodge Brothers console credit

In the Dodge Charger, you can open up the vehicle's console lid to see an unnecessary but heartfelt credit to the Dodge Brothers, the ones who founded the company a century ago. Below the DB logo are the words "Designed in Detroit." The Dodge legacy is keen to remember where it is they came from.

9. Voice commands for helping hands

To help alleviate attention-grabbing devices in the vehicle's interior and keep both hands on the wheel while driving, many Dodge vehicles come with a voice command system. With it, everything from the weather forecast to Sirius XM Radio and even movies can be brought up without the single touch of a button. Keep in mind there are still some kinks to work out with the speech recognition software, but it's a fascinating feature that's well worth checking into if you're already a proud owner.

10. There's a tiny Challenger outline on the edge of the Challenger's windshield

If you own a modern Challenger, chances are you've seen this tiny detail in the corner of your eye hundreds of times but never noticed it until now. At the edge of the Challenger's windshield, there's a tiny outline of the car itself. Without any noticeable utility other than a sense of joy for those who discover it themselves, this is the very definition of an Easter egg in the auto industry.
