Legendary Design

When the Challenger muscle car made its triumphant return to the Dodge lineup in the mid-2000s, it was widely considered as an appropriate homage to the original. Designed with a retro theme, the new Challenger captured the essence of what made the classic muscle car aesthetically successful, and that was in its boldness and simplicity.

Crazy Power

Simplicity always wins in automotive design. And it's no surprise that in the time that the Camaro and the Mustang have gone through more than a couple of refreshes each, the Challenger has maintained its fundamental formula. Not to mention the fact that it has saved the company tons of money on development. And they've been able to redirect that development to the engine department, where they've seemingly been coming out with more and more powerful HEMI V8s over the years.

Sleek and Muscular

With that being said, the fact that the car was based on an old Mercedes E-Class platform presented limitations in terms of overall proportions. In comparison to the slim and long presentation of the first iteration of the muscle car, the revived Challenger is relatively tall and bulky.

Modern HEMI Power, Classic Challenger Looks

For those fans of the muscle car who are obsessed with the raw power of the Hellcat supercharged V8, but can't seem to fall in love with the 21st-century design, there's always the restomod option. And that philosophy is exactly what the builder of this particular beauty had in mind.

Performance Upgrades

The murdered-out 1970 Challenger hides the 707-horsepower Hellcat crate motor under the T/A hood scoop. It has received performance upgrades all around to match the newfound power as well. It sits on RideTech coilovers and comes equipped with Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners. The power feeds through a Tremec 6-speed, making this beast even more fun to drive.

Tasteful Aesthetics

Visual modifications are subtle and tasteful. Aside from the aforementioned T/A hood, the car is equipped with modern headlights, a rear spoiler, and custom wheels. The cabin has also been treated to a full refresh with leather bucket seats, leather trim, and upholstery all around, modern creature comforts including a screen, and that awesome pistol grip shifter handle.
