8 Over the Top Diesel Stacks on Dodge/Ram Trucks

If you have a diesel truck it can be hard to resist the urge to mount up a nice set of stacks and live out the dreams you had as a kid watching Smoky and the Bandit. Here's some interesting and over the top stacks we've found on Rams.

1. One Big Stack

No matter if you want to give the environment the finger, or just poke some EPA wenie in the eye, one big stack in the middle is a good way to go. The builder of this struck wisely fitted it with a rain flap so water, birds and small dogs don't accidentally happen to fall in.

2. Right Out Front

The driver of this truck obviously like to see the smoke as it comes out and over the cab. Why else would he have rolled his own custom diamond plate stack the comes straight out the hood?

3. More the Merrier

This truck was built under the assumption that if one is good, and two is great, then four would be awesome! Either that of the driver plays the organ in his church.

4. Big Ten

That's right, those stacks are the big ten inches in diameter, and there are two of them! You could smoke a brisket in there, if you like your BBQ extra smoky.

5. Smoking Section

At least the owner of this truck was nice enough to ask first before he lit them up. Is this lane of the freeway smoking or non-smoking?

6. Diamonds are a Dude's Best Friend

Something about the shape of these stacks and the angle they are cut at make them seem very metal. This truck ought to be steaming down the highway with smoke coming from the stacks and Black Sabbath coming out of the stereo.

7. Stack Rack

Various companies have had the idea of combining the diesel stacks and a headache rack. This one is by Smoke Racks, but there are others, and plenty of guys have welded up their own.

8. Hex Yeah!

We've seen round and diamond stacks, but how about hexagon? Pretty much all of these stacks are overkill for these motors, so the rectangular pipe probably flows plenty, even with the pinched right angle it forces the gasses to flow. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a little power for something so sweet looking.
