2. The Demon is Already Breaking Records
The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon has only been revealed, and isn't even really on sale yet, and it is already breaking world records. The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is the very first production car to perform a front-wheel lift at launch, which means be careful as you exit the dealership with your new Demon, you may just pop a wheelie. Carrying the front wheel 2.92 feet is now certified by the Guinness organization as a world record.

3. The Demon is BANNED
The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) officially banned at least one Dodge Demon from at least one drag strip, claiming it is too fast to run without a roll cage and safety gear. The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is now certified by the NHRA as the world's fastest production vehicle in the quarter mile. Running race gas, the "race" setting on the computer, and the skinny front runner wheels and tires on the "race" the Demon reached 140 mph in a 1/4 mile, and it only took it 9.65 seconds.

4. Torque Reserve Launch System
Unique to the new Demon is the Torque Reserve Launch System, which spins up the supercharger for maximum boost when the light turns green. When activated, the computer cuts fuel to certain cylinders, closes the blower bypass valve, and increases the RPM. This allows the motor to make more boost instantly when you mash the pedal, without over stressing the brakes and transmission, trying to hold the full power and torque of the motor.
