After rumors that circulated the web earlier in the week regarding the pricing of the upcoming EV, Dodge has actually made the announcement revealing the actual starting prices for the Charger Daytona R/T and Scat Pack. As the company shifts away from its iconic gas-powered muscle cars, this new model represents a significant milestone. The new Charger Daytona EV, available in two primary trims—R/T and Scat Pack—brings a blend of modern technology and classic Dodge performance to the electric vehicle segment. This move represents Dodge’s commitment to maintaining its muscle car legacy while embracing the efficiency and performance of electric power.

The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T starts at $61,590, offering a significant upgrade over its predecessor with nearly $14,000 added to the price tag. This increase is justified by the enhanced performance, as the R/T now delivers 496 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque, thanks to the standard Direct Connection Stage 1 upgrade. The Scat Pack model, with a starting price of $75,185, comes equipped with the Stage 2 upgrade, pushing its output to an impressive 670 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. Dodge has engineered the Scat Pack to reach 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds, making it one of the quickest muscle cars on the market.

Advanced Features and Packages

Both the R/T and Scat Pack trims offer a range of packages to enhance the driving experience. The Plus Group package, priced at $4,995, adds features such as a 16-inch digital gauge cluster, a powered rear hatch, and LED headlights. The Blacktop package, available for $1,095, provides darker wheels and exterior accents for a more aggressive look. For those seeking premium audio and open-air driving, the Sun & Sound package includes an 18-speaker Alpine sound system and a full glass roof. Meanwhile, the Scat Pack can be further customized with a Carbon & Suede package, offering luxurious interior finishes.

Dodge has equipped the 2024 Charger Daytona Scat Pack with several high-performance options to satisfy enthusiasts. The Track package, included as standard on the Scat Pack, features red Brembo brakes, a gloss black rear spoiler, and adaptive dampers. Additionally, buyers can opt for Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires for enhanced grip, priced at $695. With these enhancements, the Scat Pack not only delivers on straight-line speed but also excels in handling and braking, ensuring it lives up to its muscle car heritage even in its electric form.

Production and Availability

Production of the two-door 2024 Charger Daytona models is set to begin this summer at Dodge’s Windsor Assembly Plant, with the first vehicles expected to reach dealerships by the end of 2024. These initial models will be eligible for the full $7,500 EV tax credit when leased, making them more accessible to a broader range of buyers. Looking ahead, Dodge plans to introduce four-door versions of the Charger Daytona in the first half of 2025, with gas-powered models set to follow later that year, continuing the evolution of this iconic muscle car line.
