Introducing The Brass Monkey Dodge Durango (Photos)
Very few rides can cause envy tables in an Escalade owner, but Dodge has come up with an SUV that can: the Brass Monkey Durango. With a killer sound system, tons of features, and optional Hemi power, this truck is about to rock your world.
1. Brass Monkey Package
You will surely turn heads driving the 2018 Brass Monkey down the boulevard with its special bronze 20" rims and monochromatic paint. Offered as an added appearance package on both the GT and R/T Durango, this SUV is actually a lot more affordable than its luxury trimming would make you think.
2. Lap O' Luxury
Step into another world and take a seat in the Brass Monkey's luxurious interior with standard heated leather seats in the front and back, plus a sunroof. Not only do you get a pumping sound system with Beats by Dre, and more than 500 watts, but you get video screens in the head rests, like any real baller should have.
3. Sweet Interior
You get 3 rows of seats, and all of them are big enough for adults, unlike lesser SUVs. The Brass Monkey package is available in GT or R/T trim, but both come with full leather seating surfaces. The quality of the leather, and contrasting stitching are both a cut above those other bargain priced mom-mobiles too.
4. Check Out These Dubs
Not your ordinary rims - these bronze anodized wheels really make this ride pop. The Brass Monkey package can be had on a variety of exterior color treatments, but looks the best on the Vice White Pearl paint, or Octane Red Pearl. Also part of the package, the chrome is gone, and all the trim is either body color or glass black, for a more sophisticated look.
5. Wicked Power Plants
You have your choice of V6 or V8 power in the Brass Monkey Durango, depending on if it is the GT or R/T trim. Take a peek under the hood of the R/T and you'll find one wicked Hemi V8, packing an incredible 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. If you don't have the need for speed, or towing, stick tot he lower GT trim and you still get 295 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, but up to 26 mpg on the highway.
6. Towing Specialist
You want a ride that not only looks good, but is functional as well? Check out the 7,500 lb towing capacity on this sweet Durango, when equipped with the Hemi. Even the lower trim level with the V6 is rated to tow over 6,000 lb. No matter which you choose, you get a modern smooth shifting, heavy-duty transmission.
