Sought-After Beasts

It is no secret these days that the limited production number of the Dodge Demon has turned it into a hot commodity. So much so that it warranted dealers to mark up the price by $20,000 from MSRP at times. It's needless to say that these ultra-powerful muscle cars are worth more now used than when they were new.

VIPs First

Interestingly, of the 3,300 units built, the first 50 were gifted to executives and VIPs. One such VIP is the former racecar driver and current owner of racing team Andretti Autosport, Michael Andretti.

Selling Number 47

Demon serial number 47 is built specifically for Andretti. It is fully loaded and is equipped with the Demon Crate package.

A Bargain

Just last week, the Demon was sold at an auction in Dallas, TX. Somewhat surprisingly, the winning bid came in at only $107,500. Considering the supply and demand ratio for these monsters, that price sounds like a heck of a bargain for a barely-driven Demon, let alone a VIP car.

Too Many Demons in Lockdown

This limited-production instant American classic packs an insane amount of power. Just to refresh your mind, on 100 octane gasoline, this beast is capable of a conservative 840 HP and 770 lb-ft of torque. Unfortunately, too many of them spend their lives in a garage and rarely driven.

Will it be Driven Properly?

We've all drooled over the power output and the quarter-mile numbers that the Demon is capable of. Michael Andretti's car, however, for all intents and purposes, never touched the pavement on anything remotely resembling a drag strip. The car only had 13 miles on it when sold, which is even better news for the new owner, but will he/she drive the Demon the way it was meant to?
