8. 1998 Viper GTS-R GT2 Championship Edition

Chrysler wins the 1997 FIA GT2 class and to simultaneously fit the requirements for the FIA entry rules, you have this special Viper. 100 of these were built and were the Steve Austin's of Vipers with 460 horsepower and 500-lb-ft of torque. For those with just as much courage as they did dollars, could upgrade to an 8-liter V10 that put out either 650 or 570 horsepower. For one of these race-bred Vipers it will run you to the checkbook clinching price of $150,000.

7. 1968 Dart Hemi

One of less than 100 Hemi-powered Darts that came from Hurst for Chrysler's Super Stock racing program back in 1968 was this beauty. A 10-second car right out of the box due to the lightweight it had and the beefy Hemi under the hood. After years of drag racing and terrible modifications, the Hemi Darts are a hard commodity to find. If you'd like to own one for yourself it will go for around $150,000.

6. 1968 Charger R/T 426 Hemi

With only 80 of these models ever produced there's no wondering why it ended up on this list. The Charger R/T 426 was made as part of the same program that produced Barracudas and Darts that had 426 Hemi engines under the hood. The $160,000 was money well spent on things like black gel-coated fiberglass front fenders, lightweight steel doors and a trunk mounted battery.

5. 2008 Viper SRT10 ACR

The American Club Racing edition of the Viper was always intended to be an asphalt eating monster right out of the box. The car had a bevy of mods done to it from the suspension to engine enhancing in the name of performance. Put all of that on special BBS wheels and you've got yourself a very special snake. The 2008 SRT ACR could call your house a home for $200,000.

4. 2013 SRT Viper GTS

The 2013 Viper GTS made its debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show and its racing entrance at 12 Hours of Sebring. The 2013 model had gone on a diet and was 25 pounds lighter, and a tune to the engine to push even more power out. This model of the Viper is priced at a very modest $300,000.

3. 2004 Viper SRT10 Heffner Twin Turbo

Heffner Performance tuning company builds some insane cars for well-heeled enthusiasts who wish to own something truly special and very fast. Heffner Vipers have been clocked for a 1/4 mile, using a manual, 8.75 seconds at 168 mph. On the automatic transmission side, the Heffner Viper did 8.26 seconds at 176 mph. The car is bathed in black paint and for good reason, it will kill almost anything you put up against it. The cost to call one of these your own will be to the tune of $350,000.

2. 1969 Charger Daytona

The Daytona is one of three modified Chargers that the brand has produced over time. The Charger Daytona was built to be a hi-po limited edition to win NASCAR races back in the summer of 1969. It did just that, winning three races in 1969 and another four in 1970. Fun fact: the Daytona name comes from the early center of auto racing, Daytona Beach, Florida. The price tag on this one is $350,000 to own a piece of Dodge muscle car history.

1. 1989 Viper Concept VM-02

Unveiled at the 1989 NAIAS in Detroit of 1989, was the first iteration of the Viper. The model was put out to test the waters and see how people felt about the expensive Dodge. The reaction was more than Dodge knew was coming and they set about producing the most sought after Chrysler vehicle to date. The concept had an 8-liter V10 RWD that went for a cool $3 million dollars giving it the award of being the most expensive Dodge ever!
