NEON SRT-4 Stereotypes, With Pablo Sanchez

If you’ve never heard of the Muscle vs Tuner channel on YouTube, you’re missing out. If you have a hankering for sarcasm and stereotypes, this video is for you. If you’ve seen other MvT videos narrated by “Pablo Sanchez” — such as “S*#t Civic owners say” and “S*#t WRX owners say” — then you can expect a hybrid mix of those videos, with a car review added in for good measure. The subject of today’s video is an SRT-4 Neon, and the backstory is that it is always being compared with a Lancer. Hopefully an Evo.

Using some back-country roads, Pablo tests this SRT-4, which is tuned to 400 horsepower and running E85 fuel. It sounds like it is running within an inch of its life though, with some unusual turbo noise. It’s either about to let go or has some serious leaks somewhere.

Either way, Dodge “hasn’t built a real car” to compete with the Lancer, as this Neon is still “just a NEON.” So Pablo is left a bit disappointed. However, that doesn’t stop him from enjoying a burnout and a few pulls. It’s pretty evident that even though this is satire, holding back a smile becomes difficult at times.
