Ladies and Gentlemen, Learn From Mr. Gilles: Don’t Turn Your Viper ACRs Into Garage Queens

The Dodge Viper ACR is one of the most track-capable street-legal cars in the world. Not only does it manage to leave everything else from the ol’ U.S. of A in the dust, but it goes head-to-head with European supercars costing more than three times the Viper’s price tag.

Perhaps it’s no surprise, then, that the Viper’s “daddy”, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ Global Head of Design, Ralph Gilles, really likes to have fun with his very own ACR. By fun, we don’t mean washing it and waxing it every weekend, but actually taking it to the track and beating the daylights out of it. Oh, and Mr. Gilles likes to bring friends along, too.

This video below, posted on Instagram by the design icon himself, shows Gilles and another friend driving their Viper ACRs at Virginia International Raceway, otherwise known around the globe as VIR. We will let the short video and embedded telemetry do the rest of the talking, as it’s hard to beat.

Oh, just one thing: cornering speed. Holy @#$^!
