Default P0440 and pcv hose

i thought i had done away with the p0440 but it came back, and i think i finally got it this time after replacing all of the hoses and going through 3 gas caps.

I think the culprit was the NVLD pump, which i replaced when the light came back on and it disappeared on its own with in 3 days.

while i was looking through my engine i also noticed my pcv hose (which i had seen before) and it was tore up...

the hoses in the picture include those that come off the canister and nvld pump to the engine (purge valve and nvld filter), the short one goes to the filter, and the other two run from the throttle body and the nvld pump to the purge valve. i had previously replaced the three hoses under the vehicle (i believe one goes from the nvld pump to the canister, one from the canister to the purge valve, and the other from the canister to the fuel tank or lines if im correct),
