2000 4.7 losing oil and coolant

valve cover gaskets look fine, for the antifreeze i noticed that my thermostat housing isn't flush with the block. i let it get up to normal temp and beat it on the highway to get the pressure built up, i parked on the side of the highway and looked and it didn't look like it was leaking from there, also revved it up from the throttle body to see if it leaked at higher rpm. Is it possible this could have something to do with the losing coolant although I couldn't get it leak?

Edit: I noticed that there's a little drain coming out of the firewall i think for the a/c condensation to drip, i noticed antifreeze coming out of there and burn marks on the transmission, i think the heater core might be leaking, it doesn't look like a big enough leak to lose that much coolant though,noticed that there was smoke coming out of the vent this morning too, it was cold up her in williamsport. It smelled like antifreeze so i'm fairly certain the heater core is leaking. here are some pictures
