Oh, that would be a pain doing it without removing the wheel well liners. The first time I removed the transmission to replace a freeze plug I followed my FSM, and I think it mentioned removing them.

Yeah mine definitely didn't. It was also missing a dowel pin when we took it out, so it only had one. The logical choice was to find an old socket that matched the size of the dowel pin and use that, which is exactly what we did lol

Well you solve one problem and cause another. My 4wd is being a little finicky and not wanting to come out of four wheel lock. What is the "proper" shift procedure for the full time t case?

You have to drive backwards turning the wheel back and forth...

I'll try it. I don't seem to remember having a problem with it before though it always seemed to shift really well

Which case do you have? If its in your sig I apologize I can't see it on my phone. What is the difference between the 242 and 242hd cases?

I believe he has the 242HD.

From what I read the non-human version has a 2wd option while the hd is full time 4wd
