im thinking about buying new guages because eBay has some pretty cool ones. but before i buy these i want to no if its worth going through all the trouble. do i need to take out my CD player in order to take the dash off?? is it a difficult process to get to the area to switch the guages??, any comments would help alot because i really never took anything a part in this vechile

 

I've taken mine apart a few times to change out switches, and its not that hard. To get the gauges out should not be that much of a job, since whne the plastic moulding is taken off, all of the screws are exposed. Get a haynes manual for more in depth info. I think all you have to do to get the plastic piece off is pull, but be carefull as it can crack on you, then you're SOL.

 

A lot of the stuff off ebay is junk. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

 

It will take you an entire day, if not an entireweekend if this is your first timer. Even with a haynes book, you will to make each screw you take out to remember where they all go to. Otherwise, you will always be left with spare parts that you will not know where they suppose to go and that is not a good thing.
