Default 96 neon. Drain plug on fuel pump

Where can I get that rubber drain plug for the fuel pump? Or what size is it so I can improvise? Gas tank is full and need to switch it out quick

Did you check your local parts store?

Yes I did. They don't sell it or know the size.

Just get a short length of fuel line and a bolt the same size and a couple of hose clamps. Good as new.

That little cap rotted out of my fuel pump too. It's not under pressure... The cob job mentioned above worked great for about a year before the fuel pump crapped the bed. Went to salvage yards and got a new sending unit for $15. Poor guy/gal had just installed it from the looks of it but the cars body was rotted so they junked the car.
Sendiong unit has been powering my car for three years now

Go to a hardware store and buy some rubber stoppers/plugs. It worked great for my old 96 ACR. I bought a pack of 3 and only used one until I parted it out.
