if your looking for reasonably priced parts to lift the truck you should contact Jungle Jim over on RCC. he sells some pretty heavy duty kits that i tend to see fairly often on first gen diesel forums
http://ramchargercentral.com/jungleshddodgecomponents/
here is some pics of his stuff and it installed
i think they installed 4" lift springs with all the Jungle Jim components.

I would give $1000 for it. Like others have said 78 was the last year for the big blocks in trucks. Also the grill looks like one from an 81 and the badge on the fender that has Power Ram did not start until 81, an 80 should say Power Wagon.
What size tires does it have on it. It looks like it has more room from the top of the tire to the fender than my 77 and it has 31's on it. I have 33's on my 72 with 3" lift springs in the front and home made 1.5" lift in the rear. It makes the truck set about level. It has a 360 with a cam, intake, carb, dual exhaust, and is a stright drive(3 on the tree) with 3.55 gears. It has plenty of power. But 33's with a big block you should be ok on power.
If you are wanting more power out of it, then I would shave the heads and have a 3 angle valve job, change the cam, put headers and dual exhaust, and by the pics you put up could not tell if it had a foctory 4barrel intake and carb. If not put on one on it with a 750cfm carb. and add a small stall converter, nothing larger than 2200RPM. But, headers and good exhaust could change it a lot. What does the exhaust on it look like now? What size pipe does it have?

After looking back at the pics I do have a question. Where is the coil wire at? If the truck was running, why is it missing in your pics? And, it does look like you have a 4bl intake already. Looks about like a factory b block that I sold a while back. Your carb I can not see so I dont want to guess at it, but probably stock for what ever the motor come out of.

From what I can see, it looks like a TQ.
And I'm glad I wasn't the only one that noticed the coil wire missing. And where's the coil at?
*edit*
Found the coil, never mind about that.
But I also can't see the no. 8 plug wire. WTF. I see a plug wire running along the valve cover between the intake and the VC, but nothing at the engine.

i kinda have no clue what you guys are talking about im learning in learning im only 20. its from my mechanic shop (known them forever they wont scam me) they built it up for being a hunting truck but then they desided they are getting new company truck so old one can be hunting truck, but i test drove it yesterday she runs like a charm and i tested the 4hi and 4low and boy does she crawl i went right up a soft dirt bank with an angle like / and went up no problem i have a video of the exhaust i quickly took while it was runing she very low on gas so my test drive was short. but its going to be different to get used to the whole .. non fuel injected feeling like now got to deal with a heavy pedal to push on and the hole carbed motor haha
it also has a tranny cooler aswell so that will come in handy no over heating on this bad boy but now i got to find a cover for the intake so i can get it muddy and not get the filter covered in water/mud lol
leaks a bit from the tranny engine seal but all old trucks seem to leak from there

All we are saying is that it is not a factory big block truck. Some one put the big block in it. All you have to do is look up the vin of the truck and it will tell you what it had in it factory. And when the pics were taken they must have been doing something to it cause you can see clearly in the pics about the wires like we are saying.
Now, if you would like to do a body lift on it, I have a brand new 2" body lift I would sale for $100 plus S&H. That goes for anyone on here that would like to buy it. Here is a link to it http://greensboro.craigslist.org/pts/3754434022.html
