Default 1989 Dodge W100 4x4....Transfer case question

I have a 1989 Dodge W100 4X4, 318 c.i. V8 (auto-locking hubs and 3-speed 727 auto trans)....I plan to change out the Transfer Case fluid. The truck has the stock NP-241 transfer case which calls for ATF-4 trans fluid as the lube of choice. No issues have developed with the transfer case and it seems to work properly.

Should I add anything else to the new fluid that may help with additional lubrication/improved lifetime of the transfer case??....Is it typical to here a slight "whining" noise from the transfer case in normal driving conditions??...Any recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks!!

Mike
