heater core

RE: heater core
In a short rundown
1. Have a/c discharged (if you have a/c)
2. Disconnect a/c acculmator and heater hose lines from firewall.
3. remove dashboard
4. remove heater box
5. replace core in heaterbox
6. reverse installation.
Its a serious PITA and time consuming. Also you will be dealing with the airbag modules and unless you follo the correct safety procedures dealing with them, they could pop when you are working around them.

RE: heater core
hey my heater core is gone too. I am still deciding if I want to do it, or have the dealership do it. they quoted me $300 for labour. not including any parts. they said the mechanic could do it in 1/2 a day,(thats if every thing goes as planned) but the heatercore is only $60 my cost so I think I might get the dealership to do it. cause usually when I tear stuff apart and put them back together I am always missing parts or have parts left over.[:@]
btw I am not getting them to charge up my a/c cause the bearing is gone in the pump. so that will save me a lil bit too.
If i do it myself I know it will be an all weekend job. cause I get angry when stuff doesnt go the way it should[:@]
