ESP/BSA and traction Control Lights
Hello,
I just bought a 2nd hand 2006 Dodge Durango, 4.7L SLT. The guy I bought it from got a new Dynamic Sensor as the traction control light as well as ESP lights are on. I replaced the sensor with the battery disconnected but the lights won't disappear, even after driving for a short period. Does it sound like the replacement sensor is bad or am I missing something? The weird part is the vehicle never reported any error codes with my OBDII reader.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Just to update, I tried the sensor reset and that didn't do anything either. I also noticed that when driving the steering wheel feels a little loose. Like you turn it either way and it takes a second for it to actually turn the wheels. Anyone have any ideas to test on this? I'm thinking maybe wheel alignment but that wouldn't explain the steering wheel.

The Dynamics sensor needs to be calibrated with the ABS/ESP using a scan tool.
It's called an "ABS Initialization Routine" in the scan tool. If there is a LIVE trouble code the ABS light will not go out and it will also fail this calibration routine if there are ANY codes that are not a calibration code.
Basic OBD code readers ONLY read emissions codes, nothing else.
