Help finding missing hose on this pic please!
Blue lines are 2 breather hoses in their correct spot i believe.
Red arrow points to a nipple where air cones out and makes a loud hissong noise.
Other cars i saw have a hose (red line) that runs up on tje side and connects 5o that nipple. My neon does not have that hose (red line).
The blue and red line run up the firewall and separate at the top one goes to the engine ( blue) the other to the filter box (red).
I dont understand why my car doesnt have that red hose???
Insted of both of them running up the firewall... the red runs down and under the car??? So then what goes connected on that nipple(arrow)????
Any help would be appreciated
Thank you
I have a 2003 neon sxt automatic

The PCV to intake manifold hose looks correct.
The breather hose from the back of the valve cover should run between the back of the cylinder head and battery, then connect to a port on the airbox. It's right behind the transmission dipstick.
There should be a plastic tube connected to where you have the red arrow running to the purge solenoid, which is behind/under the battery.
Is your CEL on with emissions related codes?
