Default Low Oil Pressure???

I have a 05 Neon SXT with the 2.0 SOHC engine and 130 k miles on it. It's recently developed a cold clatter which nearly goes away once the car has warmed up. The more concerning thing is that the oil pressure light came on this morning during my drive to work. The light comes on at idle but goes out once the engine revs above idle speed. I checked the oil and it's full. I've owned the car since it had 80 K miles and it's had regular services since I've owned it. I plan on hooking up a mechanical gauge to see if the pressure really is low or if it's the oil pressure sensor. Have any of you guys ran into problems with low oil pressure in these cars?

Thanks!

time for a new oil pressure sensor possibly, on the back of the engine... easy fix might need to rent the socket or buy one, clean off the connector really good too it might just be gummed up, loose dirty etc

It's probably a bad sensor, but if you are concerned, it would certainly be best to verify correct PSI with a gauge too.
