That was also my dads first thought as well. He said I should paint the honeycomb....I on the other hand was thinking about ordering some factory dodge black paint from PPG and color matching the grill inserts. I think it would look good and give it more pop cuz the whole background is chrome. I'll think about it though, not for sure yet..

It might be a little hard for you to do that... That looks like an AM grille on that and most of them are coming with those inserts plastic welded in place. Yea, you can mask them off on the grille, but they come out better if you can take them all the way off.

Haha thanks bro. Yeah Betty got an unusual amount of stares when I took her out yesterday...I feel like she just has a new attitude now...lol

So yeah if I do paint it matching black, I will take off the teeth for prep and paint of course. Hit with some 1500-2000 grit sand paper, then hit with some special primer for plastic. Then onto 2-3 base coats, and will finish of with a few coats of clear. *one of the teeth has a slight hair line crack, how would I repair before paint? PLZ don't tell me to use caulk...so lame. Ideas Lamarie or someone?

One of the teeth on your Kanduco is cracked?

Has it busted the chrome foil on the front? If it hasn't, I would go to your nearest Oreilly's and in the back of the store there with the rear view mirror glue and the JB weld should be a small tube of glue looking like super glue. It's called something like plastic super glue or some such. I would apply a thin film with a small brush to the back side (where I assume the crack is) all around the crack. That should at least prolong the crack from expanding or worsening.

Normally I would say to use some body filler, but I feel that in that application, you would mess up the fitment of the piece.

This is all assuming that I assume correctly, and should I not assume correctly, please tell me where I assume wrong. LOL

That would be too thick to use. That's the problem here, any sort of build up from the material to stop the crack's movement will mess up the fitment. Again, that is, if the crack is on the back side like I think it is.

Heres the pic of the crack. Just a small hair line crack that goes through half a tooth. It is still strong and sturdy, just a cosmetic prob really. I'm thinkin the JB weld should do fine, is it sandable? Or maybe I should go with the bondo....
