No pics but its in the back of the block. basically on the firewall. thats why these no pics.

so that means i cant get to it in my drive way? i have to pull the motor?

any links to buy online? i cant find anything...

No you dont need to pull the motor...just hard to get to.

its on the back of the block, behind the intake, throttle body, and air filter. its about the center of the block, just to the passenger side of the distributor. it helps if your arms are 6 feet long. it mounts vertical like this with a wire plugged into the top.

i have a 1996 dodge ram and as soon as i got it home i had the same problem and i took the oil sending unit out and it was broken in half ....i got a new one and havent had a problem since....

well i feel really dumb. i did not have any problem with me sending unit or pump. i was about 2 and a half quarts low! yea i know.....
i checked the leve when this started happening but the truck had just been running so it was dificult to read the stick, but i saw oil so i thought it was fine.
so last night for ****s and giggles i checked it since it had been sitting for a couple days. NO OIL! awesome. so i bought some a filled her and now it runs fince with no idiot lights! i guess my plenum gasget needs a changing right, thats where these motors are know for loosing oil? everything i can see on the motor is dry so im guess its an internal leak. i hope autozone excepts return of the oil sending unit!
