Default Help! Overhead Console upgrade is freaking out

Ok guys, I have been to the junkyard and taken everything I need. I got the white plug, the brown plug, and the console itself. I have everything wired up and working, compass and from what I can tell the MPG works too, just says avg 15.5. Here are my 2 problems. First when I start the truck the default is ET and its a number like 48:43. I have to switch to the temp and compass.
Also, When I ran the wires for the underhood temp and hooked them up, the truck says its 54 degress outside and it will start to slowly drop down to 0(sometimes). Any ideas!?

Also!!! I am only running the console upgrade, no rear view mirrior or visors. How many wires are needed from the brown plug to make everything work? I have 2 currently. Maybe I am missing something.

Thanks and sorry for the long write up.

Ryan

What happened is that you "worked" on your truck. Don't panic man. It happens to all of us at one time or another. That's why I personally don't like playing with wires unless I have to. Start by pulling codes. I would also undo everything you did and see where you went wrong.

you probly blew the I.O.D fuse. check it, its in a little black carrier in the fuse box. you hae to pull it out a little, then pop open the top, and pull the fuse out of the carrier. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...rain-fuse.html

Ok guys thanks, IOD fuse was blown.
So, in all of my 16 year old wisdom (haha) I can't figure out why the console starts out with ET.
Anyone know how many wires are needed from the brown plug to work the console?

youre time needs to be set, and you made a short to ground somewhere in that circuit when installing it, and in turn caused the i.o.d fuse to blow. id check all your wires again. also check that theres a constant power to the display memory. outside of that i cant really help you, as i dont have a console, though i want to convert my non console nothing there, to one like you got.
