i had 3500 on my 1500 but i use timbren springs good shocks and 10 ply rated tire 60 psi , plus dont drive like a manaic , my old 79 w200 had litle over 6000 on it 2 or 3 times , but again springs tires and all need to be tip top shape
I've been over 3000 a few times, hauling gravel, but don't recommend going that heavy.not good on the springs. Definitely keep it out of OD. Last time I did it on the 95 I had, front end and steering very "light", and I was a nervous wreck for the 30 minute ride home. Make sure to keep lots of braking space if you get that heavy.
