Default drum turning

does anyone know the max limit specs on turning rear drums? I want to make sure the auto store doesn't get me for new drums if I don't need them. Thanks

max diameter should be cast right into the drum.

New = 11.000"
Machine limit = 11.060"
Discard limit = 11.090"

Hey thanks, yea its time for new ones. I just hate the feeling that someones trying to get over on ya. But yea the old shoes were cracked and the drums were glazed over. I've had some brake issues with inconsistent braking. one day the left caliper will hang up, then sometimes the left, and the back grabbing making you feel like it will jerk you out the window.After replacing the master cylinder, 2 front brake hoses, one caliper and pads w/turned rotors I'm hoping that this will do the job. I took it in to have the proportion valve checked before replacing it, and they of course couldn't find anything wrong only that shoes cracked. So we'll see. Thanks again!
