I bet you'll find to that your exhaust wont't last as long, either. It never burns the condensation out of the pipe with the short trips. You need to add alittle highway to your trucks diet

It'll kill your mileage, it'll kill your engine and exhaust because it'll never get to warm up, and it'll kill your health (you'll feel so much better and healthier riding your bike everyday!)
I wish I could...I work 41 miles from home, and the PA turnpike doesn't allow bikes. I have to drive my truck.

I have the dam awd dakota 4.7 v8 ho got a great deal on it so had to get it consistant on the highway around 15.5 is about average city i am seeing best of 14.5 or so and a low of around 11.5 give or take. I have had the truck for a month or so dont drive my dakota too much and still drive my old s10 for work. I bought the truck with a magnaflow system not sure how much that helps i may put an air intake kit on it when i do a tune up on the truck and looking at programers. Its sad how dodge puts out a small truck that gets worse mpg than my dads cummins 2500 i was getting 18.7 consistant with that living in the mountains close to 4500 feet or so higher elivation than where i live now and drive the dakota
