Hell ya, thats a long drive! Hopefully you went down the coast, Tampico and Vera Cruz, would of been nice stops. All though never been to DF, Ive always wanted to see the Pyramids there.

Actually I stayed in Veracruz for Christmas Eve then I moved to San Luis for New Year's Eve
