Default can i swap

can I swap out a 3.7 for a 4.7 without doing any changes? I am thinking of finding a 4.7 to rebuild as a project then yank out my 3.7... will it bolt up to my existing transmission? do I need a new computer? or anything else?

I'm also thinking if doing this! Either a 4.7 or a hemi, either one is going to require a little elbow grease. Let me know how yours goes! Good luck

I think you need to replace the transmission, PCM, and engine wiring harness, and maybe more, if im correct, the 3.7 and 4.7 Transmissions are different.

You'll need a new EVERYTHING essentially. Tranny...engine...etc..etc.

Sell it and get a 4.7 truck instead.

Charlie is correct. The transmissions are different. The transmission on the V6 cannot handle the power/output of the V8.
