I have done 2 good wills recently. One of them was even the second owner (first owner was a rental car company) Its not uncommon. Just make the call and start a case, or get your dealer to do it.

I think I might have this problem as well. It actually started about a year ago when I tried to start the vehicle and it would just crank without igniting. I gave up and tried it again the next day (after replacing the FOB battery) and everything was fine. Since then...I've had weird electrical quirks: vehicle "rebooting" itself on the highway, FCW system shutting down for no reason, adaptive cruise not available until a restart, etc.

Here are a couple of videos that I took earlier today. Does this seem like the behavior that everyone is experiencing?

Is your vehicle still under warranty?

I have no idea. I purchased (new) in October 2011 and the vehicle currently has 43k miles. I had this problem a year ago, but assumed it was the key fob battery.

Hey Dodge Cares: why should a TIPM, which has had numerous problems across multiple platforms for the same issue, have to be covered under warranty? If the same part keeps failing, warranty shouldn't matter. Mine is out of warranty and is having 2 issues and one is probably TIPM. You think I'm going to dump $1600 for a new one when your company knowingly does nothing about it? Nope.

I will be trading my Durango in (unfortunate as I love this vehicle aside from reliability) for a vehicle that will last. This will be my last Chrysler product simply because of how they handle an expensive and well known issue.

How much does it cost, and why are there so many reports of everyone having the same problem? I did a quick web search and this seems like a very widespread issue.

For example: http://gotaclassaction.com/chrysler-...dodge-durangos

TIPMS are hard parts
There are several manufactures that have problems with them.
They contain a ton of relays and get hot sometimes. Not every TIPM Fails
They are like anything electrical good and bad batches
