Default Front rotor size...

Looking to change out the front rotors on my 2012 Citadel 5.7 Hemi. I've discovered that there are 2 dimensions. One is slightly larger than the other.

Anyone change out theirs? Did you go with the larger size? Thx.

If your Hemi has the Heavy Duty brakes, then you will have the 350mm front rotors. If you don't have the HD brakes, then you'll have the 330mm. The size difference is 13 in versus 13.75 in approximately, so you can't just go with the larger diameter if your truck wasn't equipped with them.

I'm still pretty new to the Durango so I'm not sure if all Hemi's come with HD brakes or not.

What I did discover on mine is that the caliper slide bolts are are hex size different from any hex tools I have. I ended up using a T60 hex bit to get them loose but I want to find the correct tool. Seems to either be 11mm or 7/16". Does anyone know the correct size?

I just did rotors and pads after 67k miles on my Citadel. Definitely 350mm.

You will need an 11mm hex (Allen bit) for the caliper guide pins and a 21mm socket with a LONG cheater bar attached to get the bolts for the caliper mounting bracket off.

Yes, the HD brake option means 350mm from rotors and vented rear rotors. the standard brake specs are 330mm front rotors and solid rear rotors.

if you haven't already, email Chrysler (FCA) and ask them for the build sheet for your vehicle. very handy to have.

They were not pretty, but we have a lot of unpaved/muddy roads so they get abused a bit.

They are also 4 years old as this is not our daily commuter car.
