Have read lots of the threads but have not found my problem so here is my questions

I have the 6prong connection for my trailer

the question is.
Where do I get the power for the ecectric brakes from?
The wireing from the 4prong to the 6pong is easy but have the wireing for the ecectric brakes left to wire..??
where do I get the power for this..??
or what do I need to do this..??
If this makes any scence to you..?
thanks
Don

I'd buy a Mopar trailer harness kit. For $100 you can do it the right way rather than run a wire and use an adapter..etc

The OEnm is 7-pin. 6-pin isnt used much. You can buy a 7pin-6pin adapter which is fine because the wiring will be proper and not cobbed all up, ziptied and hanging all over.
Here's the OEM plug for trailer brake controller if the above doesn't come with???

If you don't have the 7-pin mounted in your bumper, that means you dont have the factory towing option and therfore don't have the harness to plug your brake controller into. The harness is the link I provided above(HERE). You need it in order to use the pigtail end plug you bought, which was the other link I provided.
So, you can't find the OEM wiring probably because you dont have it....lol

It may depend on the controller and where it is mounted. My controller is very strict on the mounting angle. Did you follow the procedures to level the controller? Also, have someone apply/release the brakes and check the pins at the plug. For the life of me I can't remember which pins are the brakes. My truck has a diagram right above the plug.
