I have been beating my head against a wall trying to get this code to clear. I bought the truck about 2 weeks ago and have replaced both O2 sensors on bank 1. I have also replaced the plugs and tried the anti-fouler trick on the O2 sensor after the converter with no luck. It has straight pipes and I was wondering if this is the reason. Any advise would be great. Thanks.

Check ALL the exhaust manifold bolts for any that are loose or broken. A lot of guys have them and do not know it and it allows fresh air to get sucked in and interfere with the exh gas the O2 reads.

Roger I will check this when I get off work. I did try the steel wool in the non-foulers last night and have not gotten the code yet. I will still check the bolts to make sure that is not the issue. Thanks

Well manifold bolts were good. Steel wool in the non-foulers seems to have done the trick. No CEL for about 50 mile. Just welded in my new Flowmaster two in two out muffler and was very pleased with the sound. Just not into the straight pipe thing anymore. Very nice tone. I was nervous with it being a single muffler with dual inlets and outlets. Thanks for the advise. This is a great forum and I have learned alot already.
