Default Using an egr motor in no egr truck?

Good afternoon guys.

First post, think its in the right place. generally I just followed, now have an issue.

I have an 04 ram with the 4.7. Wrist pin or piston skirt noise after an overheat for last 3000 miles. Sitting at a Dairy Queen head gaskets finally decided to give up the ghost.

I decided that since I now have both bottom and top end work to do on the motor, I would just swap it with another and rebuild original at my leisure.

I have located an 07 with 112k, but it has the EGR whereas mine does not.

Can I make this work?

Thank you so much and I really appreciate the input / real life dealing you guys may have had with this.

Guess I can just block the ports and install.
Thanks for all the help!
