LEDs for ALL
I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 5.9L/360. I decided to upgrade it, so I put in a K&N Direct Air Kit, a cat-back dual exhaust system (with FlowMaster 44 muffler), new wheels, euro tail light units and, lastly, LED bulbs to replace all the exterior lighting. All went well except for the LED replacements. I got the dreaded "LAMP OUT" error. In resolving this issue I learned that ANY Led bulb that has a dual function (e.g. turn signal, backup, and hi/low beam headlight) MUST have a 50w resistor spliced into the power for that bulb. This is not needed for single purpose bulbs(e.g. fog lamp).
Truck looks and sounds like a BAD A..! So fun to be driving it. I feel like I did when I first bought it.
