I have never heard of Full synthetic being bad for anything. Friction modifier on the other hand is bad for seals, wear, causes oil to break down faster. That's why too much modifier is bad along with too much plate grip.
Nope.... friction modifiers in a motorcycle with a wet clutch is BAD. That was my point. This is not normally an issue in cars/trucks, etc.

Meridian - I understand... you didn't mention that it was motorcycle specific oil. I run Amsoil motorcycle oil in my Roadliner. Many people use non-motorcycle oil in them as well, as long as it doesn't have the friction modifier.

Sorry, I should have pointed out that I was talking about motorcycles and wet clutches and friction modifiers.

I looked tonight at my front diff, Im getting ready to change it, picked up mobile 1 fully synthetic gear lube.

My question is, does the front or rear diffs have a gasket, or is it just squeeze cheese gasket maker?

I guess I can look it up at work, but if someone has the knowledge handy shout out.

Front and rear diffs are sealed with RTV.
