Looking into an air intake is there any difference between brands or is it all personal preference? Also, does it void anything from the factory?

 

Do a search, you'll find as many opinions as there are brands out there. IMO pick one that uses a quality filter and replaces both the stock air box and the plastic baffle that sits in front of the throttle body.
Any real research I've read states that the baffle keeps the noise down, especially that of the EGR Valve, but to do so, really restricts the intake of air into the TB...
