These are some crappy phone pics but here is what I have built so far. The box itself is not finished yet but I have the amp and everything installed but the adapter that allows me to keep using my stock headunit isn't working.

Ok I am lost, I have all the wiring for the amp and sub completed. My only problem now is the input going to the amp. I have a cheapo adapter that runs off of one of my speakers and converts the signal to RCA for use with the amp, but the adapter isn't working. Any ideas? I have used this same kind of adapter on 2 other setup's that I did for my friends and they worked fine. Mine is wired exactly the same so I'm thinkin I have a bad adapter. Idk any help would be greatly appreciated.

i never used the converters. but i recently purchased a center console seat that has the storage on the flap and the dude gave me a speakerbox for 2 10s that goes inplace of the center console. he had a qc but the speaker box was the same height as the center console seat and same width so it fit pretty good and the box wasnt complicating either.

its an alternative to having a speaker box behind the seats and giving up the storage bin. i have a feeling that the center console box would be louder but i dont have 10s to test.

The way I have this setup I still have plenty of storage for the crap I haul around. I can't give up the seat I haul around too many passengers. I don't like the idea at all but may have to give up my stock headunit. If all else fails I'll take the converter back and ask for a new one. If that don't work I'll start savin for a headunit possibly a Double DIN?

Ok, I took back the converter and got a new one and guess what!?! THIS $HIT STILL DOESN'T WORK! This makes me wanna punch a freakin mexican baby in the face! (not really but you get what I mean). I am completely lost and have no idea. I even called the company and wired it like they told me and still nothing. I can't even get this freaking thing to hit once!

The amp is getting power because the light is on and the sub is getting juice from the amp because when I switch the bass boost on the amp the sub hits a tiny bit.

Ok well idk what to do, one of my friends is really good with car audio so I am going to consult him first. If that fails I guess I'll look at getting a new headunit. I found this one on google and I kinda like it. Tell me what ya think.

I like the box, very simple but gets the job done. I take it u left the corners rounded? One thing may be that your amp is blown. I had one once that would light up but didnt put out any power, also are you sure you wired the sub properly? depending on how much power the amp is putting out and what ohm it is stable at compared to what ohm the sub is stable at, just turning it on may have blown either or. I would say get a new headunit because all your speakers will sound much better with the small amp in the headunit. Look at you wiring and remember pulling power off a speaker will never sound as good as from a new headunit. Also, it appears you have an older model ground pounder, could the sub itself already be blown? even if it were it would still thump a little bit when power is added. Nice job with the box though
